This Javanese rhino is based on an etching by Albrecht Drurer from 1519. A friend of his discribed the creature to him and he made the etching based on the discription. The real creature drowned in a storm in the Mediteranian while being shipped from the King of Portugal to the King of Naples.This limted edition bronze is about the size of a burly pit bull.
